Application

Applicable to the welding of mild steel, 500MPa grade carbon steel, and galvanized steel structures, widely used in automotive manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, household appliances, construction, and general steel structure welding with excellent zinc tolerance.

Characteristics

ER70S-G is a solid carbon steel MIG welding wire with excellent weldability, especially suitable for galvanized steel welding. It features stable arc, low spatter, minimal zinc fume, easy slag removal, and smooth weld bead appearance. It offers good all-position welding performance, and the deposited metal has high tensile strength, good ductility, excellent crack resistance, and improved corrosion resistance.

Note On Usage

1.Apply mixed gas shield (Ar 80% + CO₂ 20%) or pure CO₂ gas shield; CO₂ gas purity is above 99.5%.

2.The CO₂ shield gas flow during welding should be controlled between 18~25L/min.

3.The extension elongation of welding wire should be controlled between 12~20mm.

4.Preheat and interpass temperature are generally not required for thin plates; for thick plates (>20mm) or galvanized steel, preheat to 100-150℃ if necessary
